Media Personality, MS Native Cyrus Webb Celebrates 1.2 Million Listeners

What do Leeza Gibbons, John Waite, Dionne Warwick, Bestselling authors John Saul, the late Jackie Collins, David Baldacci and Bob Proctor as well as Pulitzer-prize winner Jon Meacham, Billy Ray Cyrus, Deborah Cox, Kelly Price have in common? They are all internationally recognized and media personality (and Mississippi native) Cyrus Webb has interviewed them all.

“I still have moments when it’s hard to fathom all that has come my way over the past decade,” says Webb,40, who began hosting the radio show Conversations LIVE in July 2003. “I’ve been very fortunate to have my hard work and dedication to the show pay off.”

Conversations LIVE which began on the radio dial in Mississippi on WMPR 90.1 FM has always been about sharing the stories and journeys of others, but when Webb joined the online platform in June 2008 it changed everything. “I had no idea how much that platform would elevate my show and my brand,” he says, but that is exactly what it has done.

Thanks to technology Webb doesn’t have to go into a studio anymore. He can either dial into his radio show or log on through Skype and instantly be able to reach people around the world, and that is exactly what has happened. Now he is on the radio dial in Mississippi on WYAD 94.1 FM in Yazoo City, Atlanta’s and DC-based every weekday, to date having interviewed over 6,500 guests, but it is Blogtalkradio that has propelled his radio show bringing in over 1.2 million listeners through that outlet alone!

“I’m not a numbers guy,” Webb says, “but I realize that people want to know that others are listeners and that when it comes to booking more higher profile guests that it is worth their time.” Webb says that it has been great seeing the upgrades with Blogtalkradio over the years, and that they have helped him reach the level of success that I have in radio. “Blogtalkradio does its part in giving hosts what they need, but we hosts have to do our part as well. Together we can continue to reach the world.”
